Race Course Policy

No unregistered runners, cyclists, coaches are permitted on the race course. This is for the accuracy of results, the integrity of the race and, above all, the safety of all runners.

Eligibility

The race is open to members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA). CLICK HERE for NLAA Membership Information. Annual NLAA Road Race membership is $25. One-day race permit is $5.

Toyota Plaza High Performance Series

The race is part of the Toyota Plaza High Performance Series, where NLAA members are awarded points according to their finishing positions, and score these points leading to year-end awards.


Course Description 

Same course as 2018

The Start/Finish is still on Harbour Drive
Start at the east end of Harbour Drive behind the ALT Hotel, heading west on Harbour Drive
West on Water Street, Continue up Waterford Bridge Road to Corpus Christi Church
Turn onto Southside Road
Run down Southside Road to Blackhead Road

Turn onto Water Street.
Return to the Start / Finish on east end of Harbour Drive across from the east end of the Atlantic Place Parking Garage.
 

Awards

  • Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each of seven age groups (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+)
  • Merchandise prizes.

Refreshments

Water stop at the 6 km mark.

Post-race refreshments and snacks will be available for runners and volunteers at the awards presentation immediately following the race in the Foran Room (City Hall).
