Race Registration Fee includes $2 Timex Series surcharge. Entry fee for non-NLAA members includes $5 One Day Race Permit

Eligibility

The race is open to paid-up annual members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA) or 1-day permit holders. Runners not yet registered for 2011 can obtain NLAA memberships or 1-day permits at race registration.  Annual NLAA Road Race membership is $25.00. One-day race permit is $5.00.

Timex Provincial Series

The race is part of the Timex^® Provincial Road Race Series, where runners are awarded points according to their finishing positions, and score these points leading to year-end awards.

Course Description 

Course starts on Harbour Drive just east of the Keg. Runners proceed west turning right onto Water Street then east on Water Street to Prescott Street. Right turn at Prescott and right again onto Harbour Drive back to Water Street.  Turn left crossing to the right hand side and proceed west on Water Street and up Waterford Bridge Road to Waterford Lane. Turn left and left again onto Southside Road returning east to Blackhead Road, then left across the Leslie Street Bridge and right at Water Street. Run east on Water Street back to Harbour Drive turning right to finish on Harbour Drive right behind Atlantic Place.

1. Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each of seven age groups (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69,  70+)
2. Seven Timex^® watches will be drawn from a list of all finishers.
3. Merchandise prizes.

Refreshments

Water stop at the 6K mark and bottled Dasani water at the finish line.

Post-race refreshments and snacks will be available for runners and volunteers at the Awards Presentation immediately following the race in the Foran Room at City Hall.
