Eligibility

The race is open to paid-up or one-day members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA). Runners not yet registered for 2010 can obtain NLAA memberships at race registration.  Annual NLAA Road Race membership is $25.00. One-day membership is $5.00.

Timex Provincial Series

The race is part of the Timex^® Provincial Road Race Series, where runners are awarded points according to their finishing positions, and score these points leading to year-end awards.

Course Description

Course is run entirely on Southside Road.  Start just west of Waterford Lane on Southside Road, proceed east to the 5k turnaround by the Prosser's Rock Small Boat Basin. Turn and return west on Southside Road to finish where you started.

1. Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each of seven age groups (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69,  70+)
2. Seven Timex^® watches will be drawn from a list of all finishers.
3. Merchandise prizes.

Refreshments

There will be a water stop at the 5K mark and bottled Dasani water at the finish line.

Post-race refreshments and snacks will be available for runners and volunteers at the Awards Presentation immediately following the race at Beaconsfield Junior High 210 Waterford Bridge Road.
